The groundbreaking ceremony was honored by high-ranking leaders of the Lao Party and Government, as well as administrators from Champasak Province and Pakse City, who participated in the opening speeches, the groundbreaking ceremony itself, and witnessed this important project.
On May 30, 2026, Champakham Group Company Limited officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for the “Pakse International Hospital” project. The ceremony was highly respected by General Vilay Lakhamfong, member of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee and permanent secretary of the Party Central Committee Secretariat; Dr. Alountxay Sunnalath, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Champasak Provincial People’s Council; Dr. Souksavanh Vilayvong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Administrative Committee; Mr. Phaithoun Pathoumthong, sole chairman of Champakham Group Company Limited; provincial leaders, representatives of the Ministry of Health, Pakse city leaders, former provincial leaders, businessmen, and distinguished guests from all sectors, who witnessed this honorable ceremony.
The Pakse International Hospital project is an investment by Champakham Group Co., Ltd. valued at over US$10 million. This is a 100% privately owned in Laos, aiming to elevate the quality of medical services in Pakse City, Champasak Province, and four southern provinces, providing access to internationally standardized medical care within the country.
The hospital will comprise an trauma and emergency, standard operating rooms, ICU, Hemodialysis center, telemedicine system, and modern medical diagnostic technology, including a Canon 160-slice CT scan from Japan, along with collaboration from medical teams and specialists from Thailand.
