Pakse International Hospital was founded on a simple yet powerful belief that everyone in southern Laos deserves quality healthcare without having to travel far from home. This hospital was established in 2025, after witnessing numerous families in the Pakse region facing long and expensive journeys across the border to Thailand or Vietnam for treatment that should have been available locally. For many families, the distance meant delayed treatment, and for some, the price paid was more than just money.

A visionary Lao businessman based in Pakse, Champasak Province, Lao PDR., deeply devoted to his community, decided it was time for change. He gathered his resources and commitment, and his next requirement was the right partner – Mr. Sakchai Wijaithammarit, a Thai healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience managing and developing hospitals throughout the region. While the Lao businessman possessed the vision and determination, Mr. Sakchai offered the knowledge, methods, and medical expertise to make that vision a reality. Together, they created something the people of Pakse had long deserved, it is a hospital that truly belonged to them "Pakse International Hospital."
